Jac Clayton
is multidisciplinary creative professional a ‘creative catalyst’, living and making art in Brooklyn, NY, specializing in creative production, project management, and curation across fashion, film, architectural installation, and contemporary art.  Trained as a systems thinker and strategic, spatial designer, Jac is committed to archival and participatory research methodologies exploring access and interaction within the public realm.  Interested specifically in the ways public art and artistic programming can be used as an educational and reflective tool while building just, equitable, and sustainable worlds.  Their work hopes to propel dynamic conversation and often engages with themes of transcorporeality and intergenerational activation.  



In the realm of production, Jac’s expertise spans across events, film, fashion, and fine art.  They excel in project managment for a diverse range of endeavors, including large-scale art projects, sustainable design initiatives, building projects, and collaborative storytelling ventures. 

As a spatial designer, Jac specializes in exhibition design, curation, and experiential design, with a keen focus on real-world interaction.  Their skills extend to systems design, where they craft networks and stategies geared towards collaborative design approaches.

Research and strategy are integral components of Jac’s process, with a foundation in participatory action research and ethnographic principles.  They believe in the power of forming trusting, personal connections when working with people, understanding that true equalateral collaboration extends beyond methodologies.  




EDUCATION:
Jac graduated from the on a BA/BFA program at The New School in the Integrated Design program at Parsons School of Design and the Urban Studies program at Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts. Their studies have focused on collaborative and strategic design, ethnographic and participatory action research developing community based projects, systems, spaces, and artistic interventions in the areas of environmentalism, art, public space, community building, and education. Their goal is to create opportunities for fostering meaningful dialogue that grows intentionally into ground up solution making.
