How We Exist: Experiencing Life in the Human Form

I created a book of photoshoots and interviews over the span of four months. I really wanted to dive into some big questions that define what it means to be human. I strive to understand the human body as a concept, as a form, and open conversations with people about how they experience the world around them and how the world around them sees and experiences them. This lead into bigger conversations about gender, race, and sexuality and how those relate to the world’s perception of people and their bodies.

This was one of my first big projects at Parsons and, because of the scale and limited time frame, it really heightened my confidence in myself and my ability to execute as well as my desire to get to know people and create opportunities for people to have conversations and share their stories.
