For the Love of Fashion: a DIALECTIVE Documentary

For the Love of Fashion chronicles the inception story of DIALECTIVE (@dialective.xyz), a nonprofit collective born in New York City from the passion and determination of four graduating seniors from the class of 2023. Taking their future into their own hands, these designers organized a runway show that celebrates the diverse talents of their peers. DIALECTIVE stands as a beacon for a new generation of radically distinct independent designers aiming to bridge opportunities and foster networks for graduates, creating a sense of community in an often individualistic and competitive industry. This documentary captures the journey of DIALECTIVE’s roots and the experience of their first runway show, highlighting the power of collective effort for the love of fashion.

As producer, I worked closely with Katherine Hu, one of the founders of DIALECTIVE to build a team and craft the story of the organizations initial show, this film has been celebrated at The New York Independendent Art Film Fest in the Documentary Short category.
